Amongst them, the most popular one was the American Express<\/a> Aeroplan Reserve Card. The travel credit card offers great perks and benefits and is the premier option with the highest earn rate. Pros and Cons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are various pros and cons of getting the American Express Aeroplan reserve card. The first advantage is that it offers comprehensive travel insurance, which includes emergency medicals, lost baggage claims, flight delay insurance, flight cancellation insurance and car rental collision or loss. The travel credit card offers great perks such as lounge access where you can relax and wait for your flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the card does have its cons. You can only earn higher points on Air Canada and Air Canada vacation purchases. The card doesn\u2019t offer higher points on all travel purchases. Plus, the card also has a high annual fee. However, the costs might be offset by the fact that you\u2019ll get a lot of perks and rewards in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earning and Redeeming Points<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You’ll get points on every purchase if you have an AMEX Aeroplan Reserve Card. Cardholders earn standard points on all eligible purchases. Redeeming the points is simple. You can use your Aeroplan points online when booking flights through Air Canada or use the Air Canada app. Points can be utilized for numerous things such as flights, hotels, vacations, rentals, experiences, merchandise, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual Fees and Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The card comes with a whopping $599 fee, which makes it quite expensive. You can also order an additional card for $0 if you just want to collect points faster. However, if you want to share the benefits and collection points, the additional cardholder’s annual fee jumps to $199.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can easily apply for this credit card if you fulfill certain requirements. You must be a Canadian resident and be the age of majority in your home province. Your credit score must be high enough to be considered as good-excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
