How the Miles Work
Cardholders earn MileagePlus miles on every eligible purchase. Miles are calculated monthly and transferred to their United MileagePlus account. Miles can be redeemed through the United MileagePlus program for:

- Flight upgrades
- Hotel stays, car rentals, and more through MileagePlus partners
- MileagePlus miles remain active as long as you earn or redeem at least once every 18 months
